Fried eggs with bacon and honey
The bacon-and-eggs you know, with a teaspoon of raw honey drizzled over the bacon. The sweet-salty-fat combination is what diner cooks have known forever.

Ingredients
- 014 slices bacon
- 023 large eggs
- 031 tsp raw honey
- 04Salt
Method
Lay the bacon in a cold pan. Turn heat to medium. Cook 4-5 minutes, flipping once, until crisp. Transfer to a plate. Leave the rendered fat in the pan.
Crack the eggs straight into the bacon fat. Salt immediately. Cook for 2 minutes for soft yolks.
Plate the eggs alongside the bacon. While both are still hot, drizzle the honey across the bacon — not the eggs.
Eat together. The honey on the bacon hits the salt-cured pork in a way that makes both more interesting. The eggs stay savoury.
